Flamenco Palau de la Música

If you want to see a Flamenco show but also would be interested in visiting the Palau de la Música Catalana (something that we highly recommend), you can combine these two desires into one! The Palau de la Música Catalana is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997 (the only concert venue in the world with this title) and is an emblematic example of the Catalan Art Nouveau. The Palau de la Música was constructed between 1905 and 1908 by architect Lluís Domènech I Montaner and funded publicly. It is well known to be a very beautiful building. The outside of the building is adorned with busts of music’s great composers like Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven amongst others. The façade is also adorned with intricate mosaic designs and Arabic architectural influences. The “Sala de Conciertos” has housed over a hundred years of talented musicians. One of the main focus points of the concert hall is the enormous stained glass skylight. It is beautiful both inside the building and outside. Tours of the concert hall are offered if you really want to know the rich history of the building. Or, just come see the best Flamenco dancers and performers in an unforgettable and historical venue.
