“On the one hand, shopping is dependable: You can do it alone, if you lose your heart to something that is wrong for you, you can return it; it’s instant gratification and yet something you buy may well last for years.” — Judith Krantz

Description of the Shopping areas:
El Triangle is a group of shops all under one roof. Kind of like a mini mall, it hosts the FNAC, one of the best electronics shop in the city. I’ve spent countless hours listening to music in the sample booths, reading their books and magazines and playing their play station. If you need electronics, books, movies, music, or if you just need to kill a couple of hours, FNAC is a great place. Also, in the Triangle is Sephora, the Mecca of the make-up savvy. It is also fun to come here and try on the make-up and perfume. When you are a student, it pays to get a free spray of perfume before class. Other shops that are in the Triangle are Habitat that sells stuff for the house, a place to buy sunglasses and even a mini food court with ice cream shop and coffee. The Triangle is also used as a meeting point for many people before getting on the ferrocarriles. They meet up right in the front entrance of the Triangle by the Zurich cafeteria so don’t be surprised to see a lot of people just hanging about.
Is one if the major avenues in Barcelona and also one of its most important shopping areas. All national and international fashion houses have their boutiques here. Located in the central part of Eixample, stretching from Plaza Cataluña to Carrer Gran de gracia you will find a chick street full of prestigious designers such as Adolfo Dominguez, Loewe, Chanel, Yves-Saint-Laurent, Hermès, Laurel. Foreign brands, such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Max Mara, Escada and Armand Bassi stand beside Spanish ones such asPurificación García, Camper and Loewe. Even more accessible brands like Zara, Mango, Globe, Benetton and Laura Ashley.
The Born area is located between Via Laietana and Barceloneta. Here you can find some charming little boutiques and unique shops, perfect for picking up gifts. The main streets for shopping includes Carrer de la Princesa and Carrer de lÁrgenteria. Although these streets are great spots, the real gems tend to be hidden down a small street which you’ll stumble across when you are the least expecting it. It is really the place for vintage shopping. Nowdays people are attracted to Born for the shopping that mainly consists of some beautiful but pricey boutiques, where some of the trendiest shops have chosen Born as their home.
You cannot miss the Spanish iconic department store, El Corte Ingles, which offer many quality brands, food, clothing, accessories, footwear, electrical appliances, electronics, household goods, liquor, pharmaceutical, leather, perfume, souvenirs, books and more. There are three large stores of El Corte Ingles Barcelona, you are just in front of one, crossing the street in Plaza Cataluña.
This mall, located in the port of Barcelona offers the unique opportunity to shop on a Sunday or holiday. Is the only shopping center where you can find stores open when the rest of Barcelona lies. Here, you can find various shops of all kinds, likewise there you can not just do shopping but you can enjoy a view of the harbor surrounded by seagulls. You will find a lot of people because it is the only option to buy when you have not been able to do so in a normal business day of the week.
