Best Ways To Visit Montserrat Once You Are in Barcelona

As many of you know, when you come to Barcelona there are many sights to visit in the city, but the surprise is that there also so many sights to see nearby that would leave you astonished. Here we are going to talk about Montserrat, one of the more lovely places that offer you some of the most spectacular mountain views of Catalunya.

Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain range near Barcelona. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni, Montgrós, and Miranda de les Agulles. When visiting this place, you will learn about the holy grotto where visitations by the Virgin Mary were reported, the World famous Montserrat Choir boys recitals along with details on the mountain walks with breathtaking views.

During your visit here you will be able to enjoy some interesting walks through the mountains where you will experience magnificent views of some of the most unusual rock formations in the whole of Catalonia. Also, you will be able to listen to the famous Basilica choir boy performances of Gregorian chants and other genres of religious choral music.

How to get to Montserrat?

You can visit Monserrat in a Tour or by car.

In a tour:

Private tour with driver:

We can organize a private tour with a driver that has basic knowledge. The driver speaks English and can tell you about basic information about Barcelona and Catalunya. Also, this private transfer can be done with an extra guide. If you wish more historical details, a guide would be a plus but we would say it is not necessary for the visit of Montserrat. Tour would have to be of a minimum of 4 hours taking into account that it takes you 1h to go there from Barcelona.

Public tours with a group of around 25 people.

Here you have 2 types of classical group tours, you can choose which one works better for you.
