BARCELONA NIGHTLIFE AROUND City Center Art Deco B200
“Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.” -Socrates
“It is well to remember that there are five reasons for drinking: the arrival of a friend, one’s present or future thirst, the excellence of the wine, or any other reason.” -Latin Proverb
Barcelona is a busy city both in daylight and the moonlight and the party scene in Barcelona may not have the punch that cities like Madrid has, but it has its own charm. Some of the best bars and clubs are right here in your neighborhood so we put our heads together at You Stylish Barcelona Apartments and want to share some of our favorite nighttime nooks:

Descriptions of each place:
Walking into this bar is like walking into another time frame and another world. You walk down into the cellar of the Eixample building. The lighting is very dark, the jazz sizzles in the background as you sip your cocktail, and if you are with someone special, it’s the perfect place to gently murmur sweet nothings in their ear. Unique and sultry, this bar isn’t for those looking for loud noise and dancing. If you want to hide and not be found for a couple of hours, this is your place.
This bar was created with one of the most unique selling system that has been attracting people from all over the world. They created an international atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and enjoy a great night with beers, “cubatas” and many other stuff. As soon as you order prices on the screen change, it works as a kind of a stock market. The drink that you order goes up and others go down. They like to do what they call crashes after a certain turnover. The sirens and flashlights indicate that you can have your drink at a bargain.
Located in Plaza de las rosas del vent 1, this great hotel in Barcelona will offer you to find a very know bar called Eclipse, the most anticipated new addition to Barcelona’s vibrant nightlife scene. Eclipse has already established itself as the hottest new bar for local tastemakers and global jetsetters alike. Fly high and rise up to the 26th floor to W’s ultra-exclusive Eclipse bar, where the freshest cocktails are complemented by world-class DJs spinning soulful sounds, delicious beats & live performances, inspired by its stunning Mediterranean setting and inherently London personality. Flirty with a touch of whimsy, Eclipse will undoubtedly change the face of Barcelona’s nightlife and establish itself as the city’s ultimate entertainment lifestyle destination.
Luz de Gas stands out for its wide range of performances. These are scheduled daily, ranging from live concerts with music from the 60’s, rock, blues, soul and jazz to poetry readings and plays. The club atmosphere is selected until 12 or 1am, at which time the proceedings begin each night. It is a kind of modern cabaret, where the footlights are preferred (very welcome). The audience is diverse both in terms of style and age. It is an excellent choice to start or end the evening. The ticket price includes a drink.
This is one of the THE BEST Tapas bars in Barcelona. If you are looking for a tranquil drink and some good food, you are not in the mood for rough housing and teeny boppers, Tapas 24 is a great place. Not only do they have tapas but also it is one of the hippest hangouts for wine and beer drinkers alike. The atmosphere is chic and modern and the people are always engaged in interesting conversation. I like this place a lot now that I am too old to go out like the University kids. Its a great alternative option for the classic dinner and it is also a great excuse to try different types of wine as you go through several types of tapas.
Monk Bar has a very cool ambience and decorations. The giant golden Budha statues and the rich red velvet color make this a great place to hang out even if the drinks are a bit pricey. Its well worth the money. If you opt to have dinner here, you are in for an asian fusion cuisine. Some pasta, some asian, some popular dishes. It is quite a nice and romantic place to dine, very “Phantom of the Opera.” After the dinning hours, the place turns into a musical bar with local DJs spinning house music. Sometimes they have shows.
George Payne’s Irish Bar is my favorite Irish bar for many reasons. They usually have specials on meals and more importantly, they always have specials on drinks like a 2-1 deal on cocktails. They make their drinks nice and spunky with generous helpings of alcohol. The only bummer about the place is that it gets packed really quickly so come early!
